I tried going to the grocery store... Sensory Overwhelm Sticker

This sticker uses humor to describe what simple tasks, like going to the grocery store can be like for people with Sensory Processing Disorder.

The sticker reads, "I tried to go grocery shopping but the lights were too loud, my shoes were hurting my teeth, a feral child was screaming and someone's lavender lotion tasted like a Victorian funeral."

All joking aside, this can be a serious challenge for some people with disabilities and can limit their ability to fully participate in activities that others take for granted.  The National Institute of health defines Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) as "a neurological condition where the brain struggles to organize and respond appropriately to sensory information (sight, sound, touch, taste, smell, movement). It causes extreme over- or under-sensitivity, resulting in daily functioning difficulties, including behavioral issues, anxiety, motor clumsiness, and avoidance of everyday stimuli."

Fortunately, many people are understanding this better and offer sensory supports at public functions.

This sticker is made with high quality weatherproof vinyl.  You can put these stickers on water bottles and they can go through the dishwasher without harm.  They are also UV and scratch resistant and can go through car washes without damage. The sticker measures 2" tall and 4.2" wide.
